We’ve just received notification of our final Government grant of £431,061 — part of the £100 million funding announced last year by Health Secretary Wes Streeting to support more than 200 hospices across England.
While this support is welcome, it’s important to note that it is one-off, and it is restricted to capital projects — meaning it cannot be used to cover day-to-day running costs or help with the significant deficit we continue to face.
Like many hospices, we’ve faced a shortfall in funding for years— a gap that continues to be bridged by the unwavering generosity of our incredible community. We simply couldn’t run our services without your support.
We continue to call for a sustainable funding model that recognises hospice care as a core part of the health system. With the support of our local MPs, we are actively working to secure fairer, long-term funding from our local Integrated Care Board.
We remain committed to delivering outstanding care for the people of Milton Keynes — and we are deeply grateful for your continued support.
We care, because you do.
