Caring for the next generation
Assemblies
We’d love to join one of your assemblies to talk about the vital services we provide to our community. We can tailor our information to the needs of your school. Themes we have covered include the importance of giving, the business of charities and bereavement.
PTA information sessions
We recognise it’s a challenging time for PTAs in raising school funds, but we’re keen to explore ways we can work together. A joint approach is a great way to benefit your school, your students and local families who rely on the free services we provide.
Attendance at your events
Invite us along to your school’s events. We’d love to be involved with your careers fair or summer fete. Our community fundraising team are experts in setting up a games stall, teddy tombola or pop up book shop.
Lesson support or circle time
If you think your children would benefit from smaller group activity. We are happy to lead circle time for primary schools and lesson support tailored to the needs of the pupils in your classroom.
Cheque presentations
You may choose to elect Willen Hospice as your Charity of the year, we know how important planning ahead is and we can also support with PR opportunities, certificates and cheque presentations.
Student volunteering
Your students may be looking for a work placement, DofE work experience or group volunteering, we really enjoy supporting their learning by showcasing the vital work we do in their community.
Bereavement training sessions
Supporting a child who’s experiencing a bereavement or who has a loved one with a life-limiting condition can be a challenge for education providers.
Our children and families team run school bereavement workshops to raise awareness of how grief can affect children and young people. They aim to help education staff feel better equipped to manage these situations, by providing advice and support.

Mascot visits
Florence Moo, or Flo to her friends is our loveable cow mascot. Flo has joined school sponsored walks, dance performances and scooter-thons and is always a hit with the children.
Santa Dash
Talk to us about organising a mini version of our famous Willen Hospice Santa dash at your school. Santa and his sleigh float can add some magic to support your festive fundraising.
Bunny Hop
Make the end of your spring term even more eggs-citing by holding a Willen Hospice Bunny Hop event. This active fundraiser gives your primary school children a chance to hop to it in bunny ears!
Float visits
Our swan float takes many forms over the year. Whether you are looking for a visit from a princess or a pirate, the Easter Bunny or Santa, there’s nothing we enjoy more than creating smiles by visiting local schools.
World book day pop up shop
We share your love of reading, and we’d love to help you celebrate World Book Day by popping up with our book shop after school. Our Willen Hospice bookshop in Stony Stratford is so popular with your little bookworms!
Charity Champions
We’re keen to support your budding entrepreneurs in learning about the business of charities. Ask us about our charity champions fundraising initiative and the ways we can reward students as Willen Hospice young ambassadors.
Support for young people
We help young people talk about their feelings in a safe environment.
