Join our team
Our dedicated volunteers help us generate vital income to support the work of the Hospice. Volunteering gives you an opportunity to meet new people, and to learn new skills. Last year we served 300,000 customers and sold 680,000 items, we simply couldn’t do it with our incredible volunteers, some of whom have gifted their time for more than 20 years.

Volunteering opportunities
Online Retail
If you enjoy discovering hidden gems, researching interesting items, or have a passion for fashion, collectibles, antiques or designer brands, this role is for you. Unlike traditional charity shop volunteering, you’ll work behind the scenes in our online retail operation, with little or no face-to-face customer interaction.

In our shops
Our shop volunteers carry out a wide variety of tasks from helping to sort through donations, organise our stock, merchandise window display, serve customers and much more. Our roles in the shops just require a volunteer to be available for a minimum of one weekly regular 4 hour slot.
Within our Online Team
We generate vital income through our online shops thanks to volunteers within our online retail team. These roles include photographing, listing items on selling sites and packing them ready to send to customers.
As a driver or driver's mate
We're always on the lookout for volunteer drivers to help with logistics and distribution within our retail operations. Our drivers are vital in ensuring your kind donations reach our shops.
At our warehouse
If working behind the scenes is more your thing then our busy warehouse in Kiln Farm is the place to be. From sorting through donations or receiving donated items from our generous supporters, there’s a wide variety of roles on offer.
