Talking to children

We know it’s hard when you’re grieving too, we’re here to support discussions with young people.

Supporting your grieving child

Life limiting conditions and death are topics that many adults struggle to talk about. Talking to your child about a parent or relatives’ death can be difficult, especially when you are grieving yourself.

Our Children and Families service can work with families under the care of Willen, to offer advice and support with talking about serious illness and death with a young child or young adult. We can offer age-appropriate advice for supporting your grieving child.

We have a variety of resources that we can loan for you to use with your family which support before and after bereavement. We also work closely with other charities to signpost families to.
