Willen at Home
Our Willen at Home team offer the only specialist palliative care in Milton Keynes that’s available to patients in their own home.
Care in the place you call home
Our community team have specialist training in caring for people with a life-limiting illness. Collaborating with hospitals, GPs and district nurses, they help patients with complex symptoms or needs to live well until they die, for however long that may be.
As a patient of Willen at Home, you might be visited where you live, or be given palliative care advice and support over the phone. If you have carers, family members or friends looking after you, they will also be offered support.
The team see patients at different stages of their illness, including those nearing the end of life. Some of our nurses are prescribers and can make medication changes, which might save you from having to visit your GP.
Weekly clinics at the Hospice led by our clinical nurse specialists offer you a choice in how you see us, if you’re well enough to get out and about. You can then attend Therapeutic & Wellbeing activities or appointments before or after the clinic.
