Support for schools

Supporting a child who’s experiencing a bereavement or who has a loved one with a life-limiting condition can be a challenge for education providers.

Supporting teaching professionals

Our Children and Families team run school bereavement workshops to raise awareness of how grief can affect children and young people. They aim to help education staff feel better equipped to manage these situations, by providing advice and support.

The team can also provide support and resources to a child in their place of education. Through virtual sessions, they can discuss support for individual children and their families.

If you’re an education provider and would like more information about the support we offer, please call the Therapeutic & Wellbeing team on 01908 973264 or email T&Wservices@willen-hospice.org.uk.

Bereavement support

While there are a number of practical things you’ll need to do after a loved one dies, it’s important to look after yourself and address how you’re feeling.

We share your passion for our younger generation. We are keen to work together with local schools to ensure we can continue to provide for their future.
