We’ve published our impact report for 2023/24, which shows the wide range of work our staff and volunteers have carried out in the last year to help improve palliative and end-of-life care and support for the people of Milton Keynes.
Inside, you’ll hear from staff across the different departments of the Hospice, in their own words, about the successes and challenges the year has brought, giving you an insight into daily life here. You’ll read about some of the partnerships we have with other local healthcare providers, charities and organisations, which contribute to better care for our community.
Most importantly, you’ll hear directly from local patients Barbara and Ann, who have kindly shared their stories and described the huge impact our care has had on their lives.

There’s been an enormous amount of national media coverage about the current hospice funding crisis and the inequity in this funding. So we’ve taken the opportunity in our report to explain how we’re tackling our own financial challenges head-on this year, particularly through a special campaign aiming to raise awareness of the complete lack of NHS funding for our Willen at Home service.
If you have any feedback on our impact report, we’d love to hear from you. Please email jennifer.baskerville@willen-hospice.org.uk or write to Jennifer Baskerville, The Well, Newport Road, Willen Village, Milton Keynes, MK15 9AA.
