This year we’re calling on you, the Milton Keynes community, to be a part of our 20.25 Challenge in support of our Willen at Home team. 

Willen at Home provides free, specialist palliative care and support to thousands of patients and their loved ones in their own homes. Yet this service receives no NHS funding and costs us £1.4 million each year to run.  

 In 2024 many of you showed how much you care about Willen at Home. More than 8,000 people signed our petition to demand fairer NHS funding for hospice care, and hundreds donated to our Christmas appeal, which raised over £200,000.  

With your help, we’re making good progress towards our £1.4 million target to continue offering care at home.  

But as we step into 2025, we’re still fighting for fairer funding. In December the government promised a one-off investment of £100 million to be allocated to more than 200 UK hospices, but we’re still waiting to hear what share of this we’ll receive and when.  

In the meantime, as a charity, we’re still entirely reliant on your generosity to ensure no one in our community faces the end of their life at home without the expert, compassionate care they deserve.
