More than just a walk

It's a moo-vement

As Milton Keynes sleeps, we light the way. Every step you take helps Willen Hospice be there for local patients and families when they need it most.

Whether you’re walking in memory of someone special, taking on a personal challenge, or joining friends, family or colleagues for an unforgettable night, Midnight Moo is your chance to be part of something truly meaningful.

Ways to remember your loved one

While people walk the Moo for many reasons, we know most do it in-memory of a loved ones. We offer many ways to remember your loved one on your Moo Journey, right from sign up to dedication on the night:

£24

Could cover the cost of one of our social workers spending an hour with a patient and their family – helping them get their affairs in order and access practical support.

£47

Could pay for one of our professional counsellors to visit a patient in their own home – helping them process their feelings about reaching the end of their life.

£264

Could pay for one of our In-Patient Unit nurses to work a whole shift – caring for a local person with a life-limiting illness and supporting their loved ones.

“Willen Hospice looked after my dad in the last two weeks before he passed away. Living in Milton Keynes, you’re always aware that Willen is there, but you don’t know how important their care is until you experience it yourself. It just meant the world to us that Dad got his wish to die with dignity at the end.”

Zoe, Team Papa Tate

“I’m so proud of the friends and family who have joined our team for the Moo. It’s a legacy to my late wife. She was a fantastic person, a real loyal friend and a real family person who brought people together. I’m looking forward to walking and sharing memories with them”

Paul, Team Ange’s Udder Stars

“Fundraising for Willen Hospice is such an important part for all of us; we live in Milton Keynes, we know where it is, we see the good it does all the time. It’s our favourite local charity and it has touched a lot of our lives.”
